Welcome to Theertham, located about 120 kms from Bangalore on the Karnataka-Andhra Pradesh border. It is about 20 Kms from Sri Padaraja Mutt, Narasimha Theertha, Mulbagal. There is an ancient temple of Mukhya Prana and also Sri Raghavendra Swamy brindavana in this place. It has a rich history dating back to 16th century when Sri Vyasarajaru himself has installed the Mukhya Prana image in this temple and created the Brahmin settlement called "Ananda Theertha Agrahara", now known as "Theertham Village". As the name suggests, this place is named after Sri Madhvacharya (Srimad Anandatheertharu), a proponent of the Dvaita philosophy.
